Yesterday we had lunch at Da Shi Dai, a gourmet Chinese restaurant down in the Jumeirah Beach Residence that specializes in smaller dishes. They also had an all you can eat Dim Sum menu as well. My brother-in-law Sami had Dim Sum and some came with beautiful orange fish roe on top of them. The attention to detail was striking.
I had Seafood Hot and Sour Soup that was really delicious: spicy and mysterious and different than anything I have had before.
Ginger Bok Choy and Crispy Lemon Chicken with Green tea.

Diced Beef Fillet with Lemongrass was our favorite.

Even the condiments were lovely.

And the bathroom tile was quite striking.

Oh, how I wish these restaurants were in Tacoma!
